A Legacy of Service
In 1930, Art Main attached a 275 gallon tank to his flat bed truck and began delivering kerosene, then a common fuel for heating and cooking, to area residents. Spenser Main soon joined the growing business, and Main Brothers Oil Company (Main-Care) came to be. The Main family presided over the company until their passing in the mid 1960’s. Having no heirs, they left their proud legacy to their employees, and Main-Care Energy became fully employee-owned.
Today we are a company of dedicated employee-owners who are committed to maintaining the high standards established by our founders. Our employee-owners are also customers residing in your community. Recently we announced our new premier parts and labor service plan: The Gold Plus “Total Home Comfort” package that you customize to fit your specific needs. Our customers also helped design our Price Protection programs that offer Double Protection – whether the price of fuel goes up or down, you are protected.
Since 1995, with the approval of deregulation we began offering natural gas for your home or business. In fact, we’re proud to say that Main-Care Energy is one of the largest Public Service Commission approved suppliers of natural gas in New York State.
